Pre-mediation sessions

PNW Mediation prefers to speak individually with each lawyer, and/or party, before the joint mediation session begins. This allows each side to tell their story without interruption, and for us to “hear” and understand the needs, desires, and concerns of each party. It can be helpful for PNW Mediators to read your mediation materials before the session. Providing them a week ahead of time will help ensure the mediator has time to read all of your materials.

In arbitration sessions, pre-conferences may or may not be appropriate. This issue should be discussed with your mediator.
